Over the coming year I hope to visit each of the 22 Catholic diocesan cathedrals in England and Wales (and probably an occasional exarchate cathedral, oratory or shrine church too). The current Catholic cathedrals get a little overlooked as, post-reformation, the Church of England and Church in Wales own the formerly Catholic historical buildings. Today, Easter Sunday, began with Mass in Liverpool Metropolitan Cathedral, in my local diocese. Home ground for stage 1 of 22 on this particular pilgrimage.
